The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program at Renukai GNM Nursing School is a meticulously designed three-year full-time diploma program. Established in 2024, our curriculum aligns perfectly with the statutory frameworks set by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, and the Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC), Mumbai.

The program aims to prepare students to function effectively as vital members of the healthcare team. Nursing students are trained to deliver high-quality comprehensive care—preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative—to patients across their lifespan in both hospital and community settings.

In line with our commitment to expanding high-quality technical healthcare education in the tribal regions of Kinwat, Mahur, and Himayatnagar, Renukai Nursing School has formally planned the introduction of a premium degree program: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing).

  • Course Type: 4-Year Undergraduate Degree Program.
  • Current Status: Proposed / Upcoming Expansion.
  • Objective: This degree path is strategically conceptualized to train advanced healthcare personnel, offering deeper insights into clinical research, hospital administration, specialized critical care, and advanced nursing practices.

Regulatory Admission Guidelines

To maintain strict compliance with national and state regulatory bodies (INC & MNC), candidates seeking admission to the GNM program must fulfill the following mandatory criteria:

1. Age Boundaries & Medical Fitness

  • Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31st of the academic year of admission.
  • Maximum Age: The upper age boundary limit for general admission is 35 years. (Note: For candidates holding an active ANM/LHV qualification, there is no upper age bar restriction) .
  • Medical Fitness: Every candidate must be declared physically and mentally fit by an authorized medical practitioner.

2. Basic Educational Qualifications

  • General Stream: 10+2 passed with English from any recognized educational board, securing a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, and 40% marks in English individually.
  • Vocational ANM Stream: 10+2 with English, securing at least 40% marks in a vocational Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  • Vocational Health Care Science Stream: 10+2 with English, securing at least 40% marks in the Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from a recognized CBSE board or center.
  • Registered Professionals: Candidates who are registered ANM professionals with passing marks are directly eligible to apply.
  • International / Foreign Students: For foreign nationals, the entry qualification equivalency (i.e., 12th standard) must be formally verified and obtained through the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

3. Statutory Relaxation & Reservation Policy

  • SC/ST Category Relaxation: A 5% mark relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirement is extended to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities.
  • Locomotor Disability Reservation: A statutory 3% reservation is set aside for disabled candidates exhibiting a locomotor disability to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity. All such allocations are subject to evaluation by an official committee comprising a medical officer authorized by the State Government Medical Board and an appointed nursing expert panel.
  • General Quotas: All other institutional or state reservation quotas operate strictly under the official reservation policy of the State Government of Maharashtra. (Note: All allocated quota seats are strictly included within the sanctioned seat intake of 60 and not above it) .
